Gemology is the science of identifying gemstones. This refers to the study of the fiscal, chemical and optical properties of the different mineral species that are currently traded in the jewelry industry and by others like collectors and investors.

There are various factors that determine the value of a colored gemstone, beyond what most people know as the 4 C's: Carat weight(size) Clarity, Color and Cut. Also other factors and sub-factors like origin, crystal quality, brilliance, color intensity and uniformity, cutting style, quality polish and light performance are some of the most important factors involved.

I like to create contemporary fine jewelry pieces with rare gems. Understanding how a stone will look best in a design is a difficult part of the process and this is what I try to accomplish.

Gemstones come from diverse places around the world. Some of our gemstones are sourced at famous trading centers like Bangkok and Hong Kong.
